Mediterranean Way, a Spanish company specialized in the import and export of quality products, will import solar panels from some of the leading manufacturers in China.

Mediterranean Way has been working for many years with Shanghai Bedoing Import & Export Co., Ltd., a company linked to the metal-mechanic sector and with more than 15 years of experience. Through it, the investment department of Mediterranean Way has come into contact with two of the leading manufacturers of solar panels of the so-called “tier 1 and tier 2” to approach with Servex Ingenieros the European and Ibero-American markets.

Mediterranean Way maintains excellent relations in the Asian country, as well as a wide experience in the logistics chain, which allows the company to obtain and offer all the guarantees when providing any product, in this case, the best quality solar panels and their complements.

In Spain, one of its target markets maintains very good relations with the main solar proyects concesors to develope in the comig years.

A decade ago, Spain became one of the most active countries in terms of clean energies. According to the latest study by Bloomberg NEF (BNEF), between 2007 and 2008 investments worth 39,811 million euros were made in this type of technology in our country. However, the legislative changes that were applied in subsequent years, especially within 2012, diminished the confidence of investors, who decided to look for other regions with more favorable laws that would guarantee and protect the invested capital.

Ten years later, things start to take another turn. After several years of investment drought, Spain begins to recover. In the first half of 2018, according to the aforementioned study, investments in clean energy increased by 652% with respect to the same period of the previous year, which translates into a total amount of 1,500 million invested, of which 1,100 million they assigned to wind projects and the other 400 to photovoltaic projects.

Although this is a testimonial amount compared to the 138,200 million invested in the first six months of the year worldwide, the truth is that our country has managed to position itself in the twelfth position in the ranking, ahead of other European countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom.

And it is that the Spanish Administrations have received requests to install new plants that, to put all in march, would serve to multiply by six the current operative photovoltaic power in the country. Government and autonomous communities handle projects with a combined capacity of 27,740 MW, according to the latest figures managed by the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF). In total, Spain would be close to 28,300 MW of photovoltaic power in the coming years if all the projects presented were to be successful.

With this new line of business, Mediterranean Way, concerned about the environment and the well-being of people complements its main pillar until now, the exports and distribution of agri-food products.

So far, the company has stable distribution in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and throughout 2019 it hopes to open, together with its partner True Food Alliance, the Japanese market.
